Question by : Is goat farming worthwhile to get into if you want a goat as a pet and to sell their milk?
To be bluntly honest i have fallen in love with goats after spending some time on a farm with them, i would be willing to do research to start up a goat farm in the future…
but i would need to make a profit from them. Is there much business in farming goats for their milk?
I want to find a way to mix passion with work, how much of a profit would come from this? Thank you 🙂

  1. It is very much possible to make profit out of a livestock business which obviously include goat farming. But keep in mind it would take 3 to 5 years to mature and become profitable.

You need to define your niche i.e. Meat Dairy or Fibre or may be a combination of this. Up to you, but try to get good animal , quality over quantity is the way to start. Start small and Work hard.
