In using Solar water heater,ETC (Evacuated vacuum tube) or Heat Pipe,Which one is best in performance?

On the terrace of Star City Serviced Apartments. I was too dumb to realise that zoom was set to 2.0x while having a hard time trying to frame the entire thing and wondering why it wouldn’t fit. Dumb! Dumb! Dumb!

Question by : In using Solar water heater,ETC (Evacuated vacuum tube) or Heat Pipe,Which one is best in performance?
I am Planning to buy a heat pipe model solar water heater,which has a copper tube inside.I think that Heat pipe model is better than ETC model.What’s your suggesstion?

  1. An evacuated tube system is a heat pipe system, it’s a heat pipe inside an evacuated tube. The thing about evacuated tube collectors are that they get too hot, the water temperature often reaches boiling particularly in the summer so the system has to be designed to vent excess steam or to have something to use the excess heat for such as airconditioning via a lithium bromide chiller which is only efficient in larger sizes as in airconditioning for 10 houses or more.

  2. Whichever one fits your wallet and your roof.

    Look at the entire installation as a system and minimize heat loss, from lines coming in to the storage tank.
