The easiest thing to do considering your age is to just remember to switch lights off, make sure you don’t leave electricals on standby, take showers instead of baths and keep them as short as possible, don’t leave taps running when they don’t need to etc.
If you want to do more than that, you could do voluntary work (i.e litter picking etc.) and make sure you recycle as much as possible.

Ask your teacher to bring it up in one of your classes. Together, with others who have the same values, you can start doing community service to save the environment.

-Recycle
-Turn off all the lights when you leave the room
-buy recycled things
-encourage your friends and family to go green
-buy organic stuff because non organic stuff when they grow it they dump chemicals on them

I know how you feel. For some reason my parents disapprove of it too, but I’m seventeen so I can do a bit more than you’re probably able to at the moment. What I do is I try to gather up as many recyclable things that I see around the house (cans, water and soda bottles, etc.), rinse them out, take the labels off the bottles and then walk up to the recycling bins in my apartment complex. I kind of have to sneak to do it or else my parents make fun of me. Another thing that I’m doing is I’m really studying hard in my science classes and reading a lot on the internet, particularly on the Greenpeace website and other reliable sources like that. Knowledge is power. =P I’m proud of you for deciding to go green, even though people around you don’t understand that it needs to happen. Keep up with it, and don’t give in to what other people say, it’s important to take care of the environment. Feel free to send me a message or something if there’s anything you need to know. =)

only buy products that are organic, and made in the USA (less importing)

Solar products cost an arm and a leg, I don’t blame your parents 😉
Recycle, turn off lights, ect. If you want to go hard core, go and buy some Belkin powerstrips, plug your appliances into the powerstrips, and turn the powerstrips off when you aren’t using them. Why you ask? Read about “Vampire Power”. Google it. Doing this can save 8% of your household’s electricity!
Ride your bike to the nearest park and pick up trash.
