I want to convert my tank and put in live sand and plants. I already have Anachris, wanting more plants..so not sure what i should do or even know what fish can live in brackish water

  1. Danio and goldfish cannot live in brackish water. Not sure about the go by. Mollies need brackish and guppies can live in it.

  2. Mollies and gobies are brackish. The guppies could tolerate it. Danios cannot, you would need to get rid of them. You also need to get rid of the goldfish, they are not compatible with any of those fish at all, they are coldwater, they grow to be huge, they have overall different requirements. You of course need to raise the amount of salt slowly to convert it.

  3. most plants die in brackish. and with those fish, especially the goldfish, you’ll never have a good looking planted tank.
planted tanks only look good with very few fish and a lot of plants with special lighting. Otherwise they get foul, and the plants rot and die.
As to your fish list, you’ll have to decide what you want to do. Some of your fish are possibly brackish, some aren’t. You’ll have to do more research.
