Question by james: I have been looking into aquaponics however, my mother doesn’t want to set up a system in our backyard?
We have an urban garden in our backyard and I was considering bringing the idea of aquaponics with tilapia to the backyard. Since my mother doesn’t want to I figured I could make my own set up in my room. Does anyone have suggestions on the type of fish I could use in my room since it will be a smaller set up. Or could I still use tilapia, but only 2 or 3?
What do you think? Answer below!
Rotting fish will smell too much in a closed space…you need wide open space and one that can tolerate attracting flies too. Flies and other insects such as wasps love rotting fish.
