Question by kybunny333: i have a goat farm, iwant to know if i need to have any kind of licence to start selling goat meat or dairy?
all my product in my farm are organic,do you think that organic foods is already boom to consumers
Give your answer to this question below!
We have a Turkey farm and I believe the guide lines are relatively the same. You can sell them as live animals (unbutchered). Depending on where you are, if you want to sell butchered animals, you must send them off to have them butchered at a regularly inspected butchery. Contact your local dept of agriculture and they will generally do an inspection of your animals as well and will have the necesarry information for you and your area.

You should check with your state laws and the usda.
I live in missouri and you have to sell only frozen meat and must have licences to sell both milk and meat. There is a packet of Info I requested from the local health inspector that gave me all the info i needed.
Hope this helps!
