Worm traces on the bottom of a bed, Tapeats Fm., Grand Canyon
Question by si1verrose2000: I found a caterpillar/ worm like bug on my bedspread when I was folding my laundry, what could it be?
I don’t think it was a worm because it had what looked like legs.It was blackish grey in color and very little, maybe a 1/4 inch.I only saw it because it inched up like an inchworm does when I flicked the towel I was folding onto the bed. I got a kleenex and picked it up thats when I noticed it had what looked like a bunch of tiny legs. WhenI squished it, it had green blood or whatever you would call it inside.

It could be a centipede or millipede. They look a lot like worms, but have a lot of legs and scrunch up when they move.

It sounds like it could be a bedbug–they are spreading rapidly in some areas.

What you describe is exactly what a young inchworm looks like. They have a rippled body and have green blood.
