Nice dude, I had just made a small windowsill box from an ice cream
container but the pump was rubbish, doing a little research before I move
forward. I want to see if I can make an economically viable model made.
I wonder how your setup will look in summer. Light looks like the main
setback with that set up. I did notice the streetlight was a sodium light
so that may have helped a little.
@MsKovarna made a sandwich with lettuce on it and tasted great! pepper and
tomato plants are getting bigger too. tell him we need to start getting
ready for this mega garden he was talking about
This is all fancy and stuff but its actually pretty ridiculous. You say two
months? These plants are undernourished and not growing as good as they
could be. I bet if you took them out of those silly vottles and just
planted them in soil, like normal way, it would grow better than that. I
personaly don’t like using soil, its the caveman way of growing. It seems
to me you made this and thought you were so smart…
Most commercial salads and some vegetables are grown hydroponically
nowadays – you just have to get the nutrient mix right along with the feed
system and light source. Go have a look at the successes others have had
with vertical systems where they don’t have the space to grow in soil –
kovakyl was just starting out so don’t be so harsh.
