  1. Tou don’t even have to cage them. As long as your trying to make money off of them, just forget about the aesthetics of your yard and let them free. They will be happier, produce better meat, and make you richer! They really don need that much room either. As long as they have room to walk around and mingle they should be fine. Just don’t cage them, they are living creatures with feelings!

  3. This is in the vegetarian and vegan section why?

Selling things to friends and neighbors is a bad idea. They probably wouldn’t even buy them. My neighbors have free-range chickens and sometimes the chickens even come to my house.

  7. Honestly, don’t put them in individual small cages.

Get a fence with a roof and put them in there. Build a little house for them, with nest boxes inside.
Let them run around and stuff, and you will have really healthy chickens that lay lots of eggs.

You can make lots of money selling free range eggs too.

If you keep them in small cages, they will have lots of health problems. They will get splay leg, and skin diseases and thnings like that. People won’t want to buy them from you that way.

  8. It’s not possible for you to do this without going to the proper authorities and getting permits and licenses. It’s a big no no in town. I would like to have backyard chickens but our town has a bylaw against farm animals in town.
