  9. when you were putting them in, you said at 10 pounds, but when you were taking the jars out, you said 20 lbs… I’m assuming you meant at 10 lbs for 90 minutes right?

  11. This method will work for any winter squash. I’m not familiar with the no liquid method, but I’d like to find out myself.

  12. I’ve got a bumper crop of acorn squash just around the corner. Could I use this method for canning? I saw somebody can it in chunks with no liquid added. Thought that looked weird. Do you know the best way to do it? I don’t want it to turn dark (no water method). Thanks! Nice vid.

  13. I grew 6 plants and so far have located 12 squash under the 30 plus inch tall leaf canopy of the rest of the ground vines. If I dont can squash, I’ll can pumpkin that are growing out of control right now too.

  14. Haha! Whats always amazed me is that the drought and heat only seem to kill my crops… not my weeds. Hope you had a good crop!

  15. I will be doing this tommorow. just needed a starting point. I have too many squash than I care to even think about eatting right now and I didnt see any of the freeloaders around when weeding or watering duringa drought needed to be done.

  22. thank you. i know that some northern folks are able to leave it until frost, and don’t need to can, but here, the winters are pretty warm, so we have to can it.

  24. haha, its a good board. my knife is just a cheap one i think… a Paula Dean knife I think. The funnel was my wife’s great grandmother’s. A 2 liter bottle would work though. Dude, I LOVE your videos… I’ve been watching them for two days. Please keep them coming. I love that tractor of yours. I think it must be a Farmall, because all the implements are under the belly. I’ve seen a few for sale, but i’ll bet the implements are hard to find now. Thanks for watching.

  25. I like that cutting board. I think we have the same knife. Is that a Henckels? I need to get a canning funnel, I make one out of a two liter bottle.
