The bottle that was shown in the end where the wine was stored is of the
legendary – Old Monk very old vatted 750 ml Rum bottle (without the label)
right? 🙂
Thanks so much for the recipe.. Will definitely try this..
For the yeast, levure à vin is optimal, but levure à pain can be used. You
can use any sugar you want, but using brown sugar will alter the flavour
considerably. Honey is comprised mostly of sugar, so it will work, but what
you would wind up with is a melomel, a mead with fruit added, but that’s
OK, mead is a wonderful drink!
No, They are just Indian, this dressing style is not limited to Hindus in
India, Christian ladies can wear sari and Bindi too. In fact, a way to
identify most Hindu Married women is a red powdery stuff on the parting of
the hair. Also, Hindus can wish you Merry Christmas too, as India is a
Secular state. 🙂
This recipe was a huge success. I replicated everything and doubled the
recipe. Since I used bread yeast there was a yeasty flavor not found in
most wines but it did not make the brew bad at all. From the pineapple to
the sugar the wine is very strong. It is a strong wine with a lot of flavor
and a lot of bite.
accent is a little hard to understand but able to work out what they are
saying perhaps some subtitles are in order?? wine looks delicous!!!! cant
wait to try it thank you very much for the idea
Currently brewing this with double the ingredients. This recipe calls for
quite a bit of sugar, more so than any other recipe I have encountered. I
will post the results when done.
what did you use to strain it with?

considering it’s 1kg sugar in only 2½ litres of water, and it’s fermenting
for 3 weeks, it should blow your head off! It’s going to be sweet though…

It’s going to be rocket fuel for awhile. Some wines and meads take years to
mellow out.
