To all peach wine, brandy makers out there…I did something similar. I put
the peaches and water/sugar mixture together then I had to put carboy on
top because within 24 hours it was bubbling and gurgling. I took it to my
cold basement where it looked like the peaches were molding, and now have
sunk to the bottom. There is a nice dark liquid on top. The mold is what
scared me a bit. What does this mean? Should I be worried or let it do its
thing.
thats peach wine my grand pappy made and sold both.Peach brandy is nothing
but peach flavored moonshine that if made by a crook will kill ya cause
some bastards cut it with bleach. In world we live in now just go to ABC
store my friends
yeah this isnt peach brandy, what you are making is a peach wine. for it to
become brandy you will have to take the peach wine and distill it. im sure
yours will still taste good, but its not brandy.
that is NOT peach brandy!!!!!!!!!! that is possibly a bounce derivative.. I
got good ol clear peach brandy beside me now.. the peaches are used as the
mash.. lame
There is no brandy involved here, hes making peach wine using a very weird
method. I wonder how the jars dont explode from the pressure build up by
the spontanious alcoholic fermentation. perhaps there is not a proper seal
and they can exhale the co2…
Use the juice, might as well? Better use the juice than sugar water.. juice
has real fructose and increases the quality of the brandy. No headaches the
morning after either… you feel nice and energized.
It’s possible to naturally ferment it with yeast that grows on the peaches,
but the results will definitely vary and there’s always a chance nothing
will happen. I suppose that’s why this takes 6 months. meh.

I don’t understand what will turn the sugar and peach into alcohol? You
need yeast to do the conversion.

Did you used a yeast of some sort? Did you clean your peaches like wash
with warm or hot water? Did you sanitize all equipment?

That makes peach wine, not brandy. Brandy needs to be distilled
