I’d recommend leaving out the sugar. Also, the best way to cook it is in a
preheated cast iron skillet that has about 1Tbsp bacon grease in it.
Holy smokes ! To much measuring , dry ingredients should be mixed separate
from wet , I cant watch this guy , hurts my eyes , where is the spatula to
clean out the bowl ,Damn . OMG. Run for your lives !!!!!!!
thank you so much I have been looking for a recipe for cornbread and yours
is the best and easiest by far. thank you for letting me go back to USA
just by making cornbread. great recipe and so easy very yummy lol
my whole life i never liked cornbread. then one day i decided to try
putting butter and syrup all over it. i have been addicted ever since
then!!! now i even make cornbread pancakes!
Can I leave out or cut back down on the sugar to make it less sweet and add
a cup (or maybe 2 :P) of grated cheese and some diced peppers maybe in it ?
And how will that affect the baking process ?
I live in Australia. This is an American version as i did allot of research
on it before making it, but there are many version. I will give yours a go
next time i make it thanks 🙂

I tried this recipe last week, following the measurements exactly, and the
overriding taste of the finished loaf was SALT!
I’m trying this again, but using one TEASPOON of salt, rather than one
TABLESPOON.
I also found 220 degrees to be too hot. The loaf was fine otherwise, with a
nice texture.
