Thank you for watching good luck with your pickles they are good
These look mighty good. I was wondering if a person wanted to make “hot” bread and butter pickles what would that person add to the mix? I had some once and they were delicious but haven’t found any since.
We did not use any salt in this recipe, but you can use 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup when you are soaking your slices in cold water. We always use pickling salt. We use white vinegar and they will keep for years. Thanks for watching and good luck!
Thank you so much for showing the whole process! Canning seems a bit less intimidating after watching this video. My cucumber plants are producing one cucumber at a time though, so I might have to turn to the store-bought ones this year. Now to find a really good dill pickle recipe… 🙂
You are like a big teddy bear with a soft and gentle with an easy to follow great voice.. Love watching your how to videos. Thank you. I have arthritis very bad and take turmeric and cinnamon everyday for circulation.

I have never had homemade bread & butter pickles. I guess they are a lot different than the store bought ones in the jars? Just like every other homemade thing I guess………wayyyy superior? Wish I could try some of them. Yumm !

Also, did you not use any of the pickling salt?

Great video! I’m trying this for the first time! Did you use white or apple cider vinegar? And how long do they keep in the pantry?

Great video. Makes everything look simple and easy to follow. Not sure if soaking in pickling lime is necessary step. What if you skip it?
