  1. hey buddy!
first of all, thank you for this. im at all experienced with wood or
similar things but ive been wanting to purchase a pizza peel for a LONG
time and i never thought of making one.. so i will, thanks to this video.

2nd thing i wanted to solve the “mystery” in 3:53. – the reason why one cut
split and one didn’t is because of the direction of the woods fibers.. when
you cut horizontally and the fibers go like this ||| you break them, when
you cut vertically (and again, fibers are like this |||) u cut “With” are
rather BETWEEN fibers, which will prevent the splitting. (same logic apply
    to splitting aloe vera leaves)

  2. To avoid the glue drying in the cap, just put a 10 penny nail insert it in
as the cap, pull it out when you want to use it. :)

  3. Putting masking tape on the cut lines of the thin plywood will help with
all the splintering. I’m going to make one of these. I’ll take the other
guy’s advice and cut a handle in the pattern, but I have a 1″ dowel that
I’ll cut in half and glue around the handle. Thanks for the idea! I have
all this scrap in my shop laying around, 0-cost!

  5. I would have sawed out a pattern with a handle instead of adding a 4 foot 1
by two. Are you placing your pizza in a 2000 degree, or a 4 foot deep oven?
I use a cookie sheet for goodness sakes.

  6. I liked the video except for the annoying text covering half the video all
the time. I couldn’t see the tutorial properly. Description box is there
for a reason. Youtube also have a hidable annotation feature.

  10. informative and hilarious! I cracked up at the video because he was
naturally funny describing things and admitted dumpster diving for the wood
that would have food on it later. ha-ha.

  21. Hey! Just a little tip from baker to baker, I’d go check out Sourdoughs
International for some way good sourdough starter. I got the San Francisco
and OMG way good, came out great. Happy baking!
