I used one seed per 3 inch jiffy pots and set plants outside for 6 hrs. Keep inside at 70 degrees .I put mine inside the well house.Don’t use artificial light because they’ll grow too tall and that’s not really good.Put pots in a Coca Cola case if you can find some, black will work better .It should hold about 15 pots..I hope this helps you ..

I am planing to grow watermelon vertically in my balcony. I have bought Crimson Sweet type. Planning to sow seeds in miracle grow seed starter in jiffy pot. Then after some time will transplant in big size container. It would be great help if you give your advice.
what kind of fertilizer do you use & how often
