  10. Ever thought of growing an Olive tree … olive oil is the best oil you can get according to some. I wonder if you can get olive oil with olives an a masticating juicer ??? That would be something else!

  11. Dude … your juice diet really must give you lots of energy because you seem to have a limitless amount for all of these great projects … I really am learning a lot. This is my first year planting any plants ever and I’m having lots of fun and learning a lot from videos like yours! Thank you!

  12. Thanks! I think it is too much work for lighter stuff then especially if it wasn’t optimal. I am going to try the Florida weave for my tomatoes as I have a small raised garden bed, just 4×8. Love your videos! Keep em coming! 🙂

  13. this is a monster trellis. Yes, it easily handled the weight of the pumpkins and is fine for lighter stuff. That being said, if I was building a trellis for smaller plants, such as tomatoes, then I would have a tighter (smaller) hole pattern. I used the monsted trellis on cukes and it was not optimal, as it took more work to train the vines.

  14. Well done John! That looks like an enormous amount of work, but well worth it to have such sturdy, and attractive trellises. I imagine if these could handle pumpkins they could easily handle other veggies like squashes and tomatoes?

  16. Wow these are great, John! Added benefit of additional privacy too. Was about to order kakai seeds but the ones I found are “bush type” and supposedly only grow 2-3 pumkins per bush. Are yours a different variety, or did you do something to make them grow so tall & produce so heavily?

  19. Don’t think I filmed a harvest video. I do have a few episodes showing them growing, and the last kakai video I did I show a pumpkin that was harvested from the trellis.

  20. Oops – never mind, John – I did some searching, and I found it! Wow, those seeds look so yummy! I’m definitely adding kakai pumpkins to my list of things to grow – I can’t wait! I always get so hungry when I watch your videos, but unfortunately, I don’t have all the yummy options you do LOL.

  24. I ordered some seeds recently, but what I really want to know is…ARE THE PUMPKINS THEMSELVES EDIBLE? I can’t seem to find any information as to the flesh of the pumpkin itself except that one reference says it’s ‘stringy.’ You’re the man to ask. 🙂 Thank you.
