I was wondering how old a normal chicken will grow, considering that you feed it regularly, and it grows up in an urban area.
Thank you!

  1. Most likely it will be killed by a predator but around 10-12 years.

  2. It varies, most domestic chickens live to around 5-6 years of age but some can live more than 10 years. They don’t lay many eggs after the first 2-3 years, just the occasional egg. To enjoy good health chickens need secure dry windproof housing safe from predators, perches to roost on at night, proprietary layers food, clean water, access to grass, an area to dust bathe (to keep feather mites under control) and small stones/grit to aid digestion.
