I have 4 White leghorn hens, 6 Buff Orpington hens (all laying) and 1 Austrolop Rooster. How much should I feed them each day?

  2. If you can imagine one of those large tubs of margarine and what size that is, I give mine 1/2 of one of those with moistened layer crumbles (wet but not runny) and about 1/3 of one of those with soaked chicken scratch (I put water in it in the morning to soak) and they are fed both at night when I close them in their coop for the night. During the day they sometimes get clipped grass when I mow, on other days they get leftover veggies, or cabbage leaves, etc. My smallest coop and yard has 8 buff orpington hens and 2 white cochins with one buff orpington rooster. My large coop and yard gets a lot more food than that, but it has a total of 30 chickens in it.
