Question by Tom Jackman: How much food should i feed my chickens every day?
I have 2 sussex and 2 rhode island reds (2-4 months old)
i feed them pellets (100g) ,porridge (40g) and crushed bran and corn flakes (100g)
Is this enough or too much, what do you feed your chickens?
I keep the food in hanging containers off the ground

  1. Get an automatic feeder, you know, those containers and fill it to the top. The chickens will eat as much as they want to, and they won’t get fat. They know how much they have to eat to stay healthy. Don’t throw the food on the ground because that will encourage vermin.
