how many sheep to mow a 2-acre orchard?

I planted the following cover crop mix:

40% Bell Beans, 20% Magnus or BioMaster Winter Peas, 15% Lana Vetch, 15% Purple Vetch,10% Cayuse Oats.

Question by : how many sheep to mow a 2-acre orchard?
small apple orchard is hard to mow. planting cover crops for winter, want to use sheep instead of tractor

  3. the animals will need to be rotated so as not to infect themselves with worms etc. The pasture they cleared this week/month should not be used again for another year… Look into a smaller mower,

  4. It depends on what time of the year you are talking about. Summer time you probably feed four but winter two would be plenty. But if you don’t intend to eat them then I suggest you find a sheep farmer and ask if you could borrow some and then you don’t have to worry about drenching or sheering. If feed gets a little short then just send them back. Don’t use goats , they just strip the bark off your fruit trees.
