Question by student: How is organic farming useful?
I have my geography exam some days later. I have been given this question by the teacher and some other questions too. I have found the answers to some of them in my geography book. But I cannot find the proper answer to this question. In my book it is not written how it is useful. But there it is written about a project (organic farming) conducted by an organization and it is written that how that project worked. I need the answer very urgently. Please help me. And thanks for helping me in advance!

Organic farming provides alternative for consumers, provides income for small family farms (helps small business), preserves natural resources by preventing soil erosion, using few harmful pesticides and not aiding in the distribution of genetically modified foods which have been linked to birth defects, cancer and species mutations in pests and plants alike.
