  1. Goat farming is highly profitable. You can either go for stall fed goat rearing where high tech sheds are constructed with high value nutrients given and sold for meat purpose or..go for range system of rearing where you can use local breeds which are released to forage area without specifically providing any artificial food, but highly profitable if grown in batches of 500 each. In madurai area this is done by several farmers. The initial weight will ne 8 Kg and after 8 months it will be 20 Kg. Free grazing land is available and droppings will be useful to owner of land and so no extra cost.
    Practical exposure to both systems needed before undertaking venture.

  4. Beetal goat originated form India and a very important goat breed of some Asian countries especially of India and Pakistan. They has similarity with Jamunapari goat. The are very highly milk productive goat breed. And very profitable for commercial farming.
