Question by L.J.: How do I fix white fluffy mould in a worm farm?
I’m worm farm sitting and was just told to put some food scraps in the top. I know what kinds of scraps. After a week and a half of not adding anything, today I noticed fluffy white mold growing in half the top layer – it looks a bit like fairy floss/cotton candy.

Anyone know what’s causing it and how to fix it?

  1. You can easily fool him by saying if he eats what you give him, there will be a surprise at the end of it, and sometimes you should actually give him a surprise just so he won’t stop believing you.

Or you could go the simple route:
“Fine, if you won’t eat this, you won’t eat at all.”

  2. Seriously ? Just throwing scrapes into a worm bin is not going to do it. You need to be more scientific, in other words, chop up the food, and place it in various locations each week. Plus, what kind of food are you putting in the worm bin? Try egg shells and like apple peels. Any cooked food could cause mold as well, worms dont eat cooked food.
