Question by CNC: how can i make my 5 year old cousin to be not afraid of bugs?
He cries at night and says they crawl in his room (which of course they dont) any suggestions?

Well most children his age are afraid so try to make them look harmless like going near them yourself and saying see they dint do anything !

Let them see the playful, happy side of bugs. Rent “A bug’s life,” “Antz,” “Bee Movie.” Have him draw pictures of the bugs that scare him, and them tear them up and throw them away together. Raising butterflies or ladybugs as a project at home could reinforce that they are amazing (not scary!) creatures.

keep the light on and show him those kid movies with insects and stuff.

Dont force a child that has an age like that. Its normal for them to be afraid of some insects like that.
