We planted a cover crop of fava beans and crimson clover in the old tomato bed a bit ago and the birds (including the chickens and ducks who escape from their pen and make their way into the garden) have dug up some of the favas from their snug soil homes. Some of them insisted on growing anyway. This one appears to be trying to walk away from its neighbors.
Question by AOM: How can I cover flabby arms and acne on my arms and back, for a prom in a couple days?
I’m wearing a strapless mermaid type dress. But I have flabby arms with acne on them and on my back. I might use a bolero/cropped jacket, but, wouldn’t that be wrong if I kept it on the whole dance? Thank you! 🙂

i don’t think so. a bolero would fit nicely.
have fun on your prom:D

ok. for one. Idk if you’ve ever been to prom before, but once you have dinner…the lights go out… I have the same problem. and actually if you use a little cover up (powder) people wont actually be looking at you that much, and also, other people have the same problem so don’t feel bad. But next time something like this happens where you know that your going somewhere where your back will be showing…just go tanning…it dries up acne and stuff. <3krista

You could wear a thin mesh material shawl. It would cover your arms, yet not make you appear like you are trying to hide something.

Dont keep your jaket on all night because it gets hot in the room for prom. You should put the cover up u use for your face on it, it works!!! 🙂 Good luck

get a pashmina to wear over your shoulders, exfoliate and put some fake tan on before to disguise spots?

Moisturize as much as possible a few days beforehand, and the jacket would be cute! I wouldn’t think it would be bad. I have flabby arms as well. Even try a foundation on your arms if you dont feel the jacket is right. Good luck!

If you have the money, go to a spa and get a seaweed wrap, which will actually make you and your arms look skinnier for a day or two. They can also give your back a salt scrub and make your skin look like it’s glowing, and an esthetician can personally pop all the zits and blackheads on your back. Gross, but if you actually want the results, that’s what you’ll do.

Maybe you should take that dress back and get something you will be more comfortable in.
And, leave the jacket on if you keep it. It will be easier not to have to think about those things at the dance.

What about a matching color wrap that you can throw over your shoulders and then tie in the back. That would be cute. That would cover up some of the space.

Go to the tanning salon and get a spray tan (not a real one, you’d have to go in for a whole bunch of sessions to get decent color) the day before your prom. The color will come in by the end of the day and the color will make you look thinner and your acne not as noticeable. Mystic Tan (what the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders use) has a really nice realistic color that only takes two minutes to get and develops in about two hours.

I think that would work fine. I hope you have a lovely prom.

A sheer scarf that matches your dress might do well. You can pin it to the straps so it won’t constantly be falling into the floor, but for the most part keep it wrapped loosely around your back and draped over your arms. Or, you could just embrace your beautiful body and not worry what anyone else thinks. Either way, have a wonderful time at your prom!

It’s quite late considering you didn’t buy a dress suited for that. Don’t bother, it’s sort of dark at prom anyway. No one will notice once you’re inside dancing.

Well, it would not be wrong to keep it on, but then you would not be showing your beautiful dress off. Why in the world would you have purchased such a dress if you were having these issues w/ your body? Unless you can exchange your dress, I’d say your stuck.

I think makeup will cover it, but if it is big than you are doomed.

first you need to clean the skin with antibacterial soap. then you need to open the pores on your arms with warm-hot water. after that clean the pore with the same antibacterial soap by washing in a upward circular motion. rinse the soap with cold water to close the pore.(remember beauty is pain) use a white paper towel to dry it so there is no dye on your skin. use a toner to close the pore. then moisturize but be sure you only keep the moisturizer on for 1 min, and wipe off whats left. this should work. if not use hemoride cream and visine.

i’m going with the 2nd answer… it’s too late to worry about fat arms and acne on ur back. you should have gone with a dress that had straps and a closed back. that way u wouldn’t have to worry about ur back acne…. as for ur flabby arms, that’s that unless u wear a long sleeve… which for prom isn’t cute at all…. wearing pashmina’s or scarf or bolero’s will just kill the purpose of ur mermaid style dress… i think u should rush out and find a new dress.

i would suggest covering them up or some kind of acne body wash.
my friend just had a formal and she had the same issues and still does.
she got up the courage and confidence and felt beautiful in the dress.
be comfortable with your body.
if you still feel a little uncomfortable. wear a shrug or what you were talking about and it wouldnt be wrong…its just wat you are comfortable in.
have fun!

that is so gross maybe you should have thought of that a few MONTHS ago! then you could have done some arm-toning exercises and you could have used a Saclylic acid body wash for your acne OH WELL TO LATE!

You probably really shouldnt have bought a strapless dress….trust me as much as people have given you their best suggestions nothing will clear up the acne in a few days – but I wouldnt worry about flabby arms – everyone has a bit of flab there. You’ll have to wear your jacket thing and you’ll hate it but then you could have seen this coming when you tried on the dress and bought a dress with a back and shoulders.

For the acne on your arms and back, use an acne face wash twice a day. There’s not much I can tell you about the flabby arms thing except do pushups……
