  1. By adopting sustainable agriculture practices such as crop rotation, intercropping, mulching, minimum or zero soil tillage, composting, cover crops, and integrated pest management. These practices have been shown to work and can increase yields and yet be more environmentally friendly.

  2. By using GM crops that require less fertilizer inputs and that are drought resistant and that require fewer or no insecticides.
