We had upto 10 goats, started with 3, thats was back when we only had 1/2 Ha and cut grass around neighbours etc and all ditches. We lept for a cow, once we got over the eco lie that cows are some how un eco… which if kept in the industrial way they are but if kept at home and a different way are IMHO and expereince many times better than a goat. The big issue is food without grains… and this is hard with goats, but very easy with a cow

We have about 4 ha. Would like a cow but a) have no shelter for it b) it’s a lot of work putting it out to grass every day, moving it and milking it. If we do get any livestock, will probably go for a goat or two (also, really love goat’s cheese!).

Great snow… Just wondering how much land you have ? Seems like enough for a small cow… have you thought about it ? Cows are for reall rich and happy people… great manure for your garden 🙂

Thx for the message. Yes, in winter there’s not that much going on here so don’t really put up many vids. Can’t wait for Spring and to start the seed planting once more. Temps have been down as low at -30 at night here so will be interesting to see if all the plants have survived (which I don’t think they will have!).

Here in the lower eastern USA has been exceptionally mild….no snow at all and last night was the first night in the upper teens degree-wise. We are entering into the 6 week period of ‘if we get any snow at all, it will be at this time” and really then we start into spring-like weather. Good to see you posting again. I’ve missed seeing anything from your side of the world. Hope all is well with you and your family. The children are really growing!

We havent had enough snow to do anything with this winter. They look like they are having so much fun! 🙂 subbed ya!

Thx. Yes, interesting how the two winters have been so similar even though such a large distance between us. If we get some more snow – it has gone already – will definitely be taking them out again.

Happy New Year to you too. Looks like the children have the year off to a good start. It has been unusually warm here too and we don’t have any snow. Warm until today that is, it was minus 13 this morning and only warmed up to minus 10 this afternoon.
