check with the better business bureau
always look at the warranty

You’d have to check the BBB in Beijing, China. That’s where they’re all made. Check with a local distributor for their opinion.

Well it’s made in China .There are some decent things made in China but I find most somewhat suspect . If you can find a local dealer using them they should be able to tell what the quality is and what kind of dealings they have .
I have been building my own for some time now (thanks in part to Mother Earth News) and have found some good design inspirations on U-Tube and elsewhere . The new designs are going to the vacuum tubes . Some of the older designs can produce 140-175 deg water which is plenty hot as long as you have plenty of storage capacity ( no less than 50 gal for 3 people)
Making your own system you can repair or add to it easily.
You would have to have it set up to meet your local building codes , which can be a pooper but doable
