I’ll be writing Ron Paul’s name in … Great videos can’t wait till the next one
that’s what I hear, I suspect i may have some limestone in my growbeds because my pH hasn’t done such things and has been running for over a year, also you do some great videos 🙂
Nothing, I let my system just cycle until it naturally falls. People talk of ways but I don’t want to risk loosing my fish with additives which is a real possibility. The pH will lower over time as the system matures.
actually its pretty difficult to overdoes chelated iron….I study aquaponics and with all my systems, which range in size (20 gal, 55 gal, 275 gal, 550 gal and 1500 gal) I have never overdosed and killed fish with too much chelated iron. I am not suggesting that its not important to monitor every input precisely, but the plants suck up that iron very quick since it is the most common nutrient deficiency within a system …Also, I make a chelated iron spray mixture to mist iron deficient plants.
Im scared for your fish if you overdo the chelated iron…. =/ But keep the attitude of adding small amounts slowly. You dont want to become a hydroponic system, or do you… =P

easy way to take care of low iron is to take a piece of iron hang it at top of tank just a few inches below the water. as it rusts it put iron into the water
huh?
