Organic permaculture garden on Hawaii. Darth Vader breathing and saying umm so much – good practice for speaking on camera, just walking around the yard.

  2. Yep, Anil is correct! Neem oil, or even Pyrethrin soap oil, will do the job at killing fungus and insects on the fruit trees/plants.

You have a very lovely tropical garden, MauiCoconu! Great job done!
By the way, just kill those spiders and its webs! Yukh! I don’t like spiders! : ) And, no more videos on them, okay? LOL

  3. very nice place/food forest… the bugs on the papaya looks like mealy bug… a blast of water followed by a mix of 80:10:10 of water:soap:neem oil should work

  11. so you see how telling anyone that beef is this or that is difficult, especially long time family ranchers and such. might even provoke violence in some parts of America

  12. the thing is, Monsanto is filling a demand that the consumers in a free market are not informed of the ramifications. For instance, somebody might be against monsanto, but if they are eating cheezeburgers from McDonalds, then they are directly supporting Bt corn and soy, as those are the food sources for the feedlot cattle. There is not enough room on the planet for everyone to eat free range organic beef either. A catch 22. Some people take offense if you even tell them you’re vegetarian

  13. we make it ourselves with an old lawnmower that we took the wheels off of – island style rig. So maybe not full permaculture since we use gas for that, but not much. In some parts of India the women sit and smack the husks with sticks and strip it by hand. There are better machines for doing it but cost a pretty cent. We get the coconut husks from climbing the trees.

  17. Have you heard that they are doing GMO on trees now? Its ridiculous. Monsanto will never go away as long as they can still do their forbidden experiments.

  19. Aloha, Jiu. The way I fight is by growing gardens like these. This is probably the 20th garden I’ve been involved with. The way I unite is by sharing the abundance with my neighbors and friends. If we all did this – Monsanto would just go away.

  21. Aloha Hina, thank you – just sharing my Ohana 🙂 We get the coconut husks from the little side coconut businesses I’m associated with. I know about 20 or so various coconut peeps on Maui. Check out “spikeless coconut maui” and for big projects (resorts, golf courses) call up Dave Elberg. He got one big truck and insurance and stuff!
