Question by Amber: Have you ever tried 4H raised meat and was it better than store-bought?
So I’m going to buy a Christmas goose, turkey, or duck from a 4H youth. I’ve heard that home-raised meat is superior to store bought. Anyone ever try 4H raised beef, rabbit, poultry, pork, etc? And what did you think? I can’t wait to cook it.

  2. The 4-H is 100% better than store bought. I would buy 4-H over products in our stores.

  3. I grew up eating the meat I raised when I was in 4-H and it always tasted better than store bought.

  4. You will find it to be superior to all but the very most expensive hard to get premium meat out there. 4-H, FFA people feed their animals a better diet and give them better care than commercial operations. The animals are raised to be judged or graded, not just for profit.
