  1. I like this guy’s energy. He gets me excited about building my own back
yard garden.. I’m starting from zero knowledge.. trying to pack on as much
knowledge as I can before getting started. I do have a 10×10 garden house
coming soon and I have the help of my boyfriend to help build. We are doing
this on a low budget so all the tips help out alot. I live in central
florida and need some good ideas on what vegetable and foods work well in
my zone (9b) anyways thanks for the tips so far I’ll keep watching your
    videos for more help.

  2. I agree with you that Walmart seeds are better than nothing. If someone
wants to garden but can’t afford seeds, I remember hearing that food stamps
can be used to buy seeds for food too. Buy those 20 cent seeds with food
stamps and grow some REAL salad greens!

  5. I got burpee morning glories and they didn’t produce seeds. I thought they
may have been GMO for that reason and have read that other people’s burpee
morning glories didn’t produce seed. They had the pods but nothing in them!
I’ve grow other morning glories types from another company and had many
    seeds. What’s the deal?

  7. Don’t support anything involving Monsanto. This company purchased from
them, so you’re indirectly supporting Monsanto by buying these seeds.

Walmart is also a shitty company.

  8. walmart pays their employees so little that the encourage them to get food
stamps and other benefits from the government. so, enjoy those cheap seeds
because you’re already subsidizing walmart’s evil labor practices.

  14. Don’t forget that Farm Coops, while not always certified organic can supply
bulk seed at a very fair price. Not everyone always needs such large
amounts but it’s nice that a person or family can buy in bulk and cheap and
keep it on hand for a few years. E.g. I picked up a pound of a variety of
radish at my local coop /feed store for $3 and that will last me a number
of years. Course it depends on the type of seed and how you store it too.
    Something to not forget though.

  16. Growing Your Own Food is more important that supporting walmart in my
opinion. That being said, no less than 3 times in the video, do I encourage
my viewers to watch my other videos on top 5 seed catalogs and the episode
about Seed Savers of America and encourage everyone to purchase from those
places.. I want to make GROWING food available to EVERYONE. I personally
believe people SHOULD NOT support walmart, but if it is ALL YOU CAN AFFORD
or the BEST YOU CAN DO, its better than not growing.

  18. Yes. If someone can start learning how to garden with GMO seeds it may lead
them to grow organically. They may be able to get the good seeds later on.
So yeah, get started! God will bless your efforts but you must GET STARTED!

  19. I never thought I would say it, but I’m actually jealous of your Wal-Mart
seed selection. I had to go to 5 different stores, 3 of hem dedicated
nurseries before I ended up at the health food store for Borage seeds.
Anise Hysop?? That’s catalogue order for my part of the country.

guy about any growing is better than not, but there is a line, especially

  21. I would rather support the small farms who only grow heirloom, open
pollinated varieties. Wal-Mart has enough money already go support a small
family farm. Just my opinion and the seeds are always less than 3 dollar a
    pack.

  23. I am really interested in starting to grow my own greens. I have a Walmart
near me but I’m concered because I don’t have a garden or anywhere to grow
them. Can I just buy planters and grow them in there? What is the least
expensive way to do this? Money is super tight with a 1 income family but
I’d love to grow a few items if I could. Thanks for your help!

  25. @BlazingMedic I completely agree, but some people simply do not have access
to local farmers. This channel encourages “city growing”, and some of those
city folk are painfully Wal-Mart dependant. I repeat, I DO AGREE that, if
    possible, support local farmers.
