  2. Let’s not forget the maker of all things, he is the one who brings us Blessings. Asking is a Blessing and being Thankful. I think your garden is great it’s what you know to do right now and teaching us along the way. There might be better ways but trail and error are life lessons. As I said “God helps. Just ask”. Also speak over things, like your gardens, your lives this is how we get Blessings to come to us. I know I use it alot for healing and other situations. Thanks Brother!

  3. When you do the weekly feed, did you start this even when they were tiny seeds or do you wait till they are a little more developed?

  6. I am not sure, but I think that “stink bug” on the watermelon is actually a squash bug which are horrible pests of squash, and also pests of other vining crops like cucumber and melons. Get rid of those things whenever you see them.

  7. Can you please tell me what the ingredient is that I can add to my Mittleider weekly feed to keep it from clumping up? Was it vermiculite or perlite or something like that? I can’t remember. Thank you for all your great videos.

  9. Mittleider website is growfood.com It is classified as organic by most people but perhaps not the purists. You can store several years supply of the fertilizer in one corner of your garage whereas several years supply of manure would take up the whole garage…and would not fit in your pickup…nor smell good either. The manure is not anywhere near a complete food for your plants like the mittleider formula is.

  13. What is the Mittleider method?? Is this a chemical based fertilizer? If so, how will you benefit in a SHTF situation? If the product isn’t available and you are dependent on it, how will you survive?

  14. The Lord always provides. Those brussel sprout plants were humungry. Leaves are generally unknown/forgotten but marvelously edible. Some say better than the fruit. Try some in your green smoothy for some extra pow. Do anything with the leaves you would do with kale.

  15. Let me tell you,I have constantly put food in storage because I would share.. but my fear is people do strange things when they are hungry..when you look at your children and see that they are starving because you wanted that big screen tv,or that fancy cell phone,or that big car or boat instead of doing what the church leaders warned us to do, then my is fear that they won’t ask for help, but they will come and try to take it. I am not the type person who would not share! I have to think safety!

  16. Looks like a Fungus on the tomatos, as long as the stem is not effected just keep taking off the effected limbs. Oh, wash your hands after handling them to cut down on contact spreading.

Awesome garden LDS, love the onions!

  17. Not really if you don’t want to help people then move sure. I want people to visit me I would help them out. I won’t just seclude myself from the community and watch everyone suffer that’s not me. But, then again life is a choice. If you choose to help that’s fine. But if you prefer not to help people that’s also fine. Life is about choices, you have to decide what you want to do. Also if you really are 18 that’s pretty good if you’re already prepared at a young age.

  19. so true though – if they aren’t knocking politely they could be looting. That happens in storms like Katrina and Sandy. Looting almost immediately. Even the cops were looting. It’s better never to let anyone know you’re a prepper and/or stacker (gold, silver) unless they are going to do the same.

  20. I am in the Price area.. have lived here for just over 5 years, very few are prepared in out town.. we had one small preparedness fair 3 or 4 years ago, and hardly anyone showed up. It was disheartening for me! My sister lives in Colorado and they are real big on preparedness as are the Bishops. But not here! It has me so bugged I want to leave the area, everyone knows how prepared my husband and I are and my greatest fear is the unprepared will be knocking down my door!Terrible thought isn’t it!

  21. Two weeks ago there was a big preparedness show at UVU in Orem. Jim Kennard and his wife had a booth at the show. I had a great visit with them. About a month before that Jim Kennard, his wife, and LDSPrepper did a seminar 3 days in a row in Sandy, Utah. Lots of info. I’m in Payson and my Mittleider garden is looking great…best ever for me.
