Farmers Legally Spreading Human Sewage Organic Produce Farming
Believe it or not but it is now LEGAL to spread Human Sewage on fields for Organic Farming. This Practice MUST STOP. It is a public health hazard (e-coli), is polluting water courses with Black Sludge and smells like a mixture of Stale Human Urine and Rotting Animals. Petition your MP to bring the matter up in Parliament.

Also I agree it is not ideal but where else is it supposed to go? It is a free source of nutrients and also is mixed with lime which gives free pH correction. Everyone is happy to produce the stuff but no-one wants it recycled near them, a case of NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard). There are also restrictions and the land has to be licensed by the Environment Agency before the sludge is applied, and it can be stored on site for up to 12 months prior to spreading.

Organic is just a brand name, doesn’t mean a quality product at all.

That’s just a bunch of crap Laddie! That’s it no more organic produce for me, I rather take may chances with chemicals!
