I like how this comment which says quote “fuck the people…” is approved. It is in no way helpful or constructive criticism. Even though this is your channel, almost all of the comments support peta’s agenda. I highly doubt peta is giving viewers the full picture. If you want all the facts, do some more research on your own.
factoryfarmmap dotorg is a great resource to show just how many animals are kept on modern day farms. You can toggle to see just dairy farms. There have been reports on large news outlets like ABC news that 9 out of 10 dairy farms practice dehorning. Ripping calves from their mothers is standard practice in the industry. TakeParts’s BFD (Brain Food Daily) has a good video on dairy as well, and they aren’t an animal welfare group. If you search “TakePart Dairy” on YT, you should find it.
The videos only show a few farms out of 60,000 in the USA, 99% of which are family owned (Purdue University Food Animal Education Network).
You claim there are several investigations, but I see no sources for info on the entire dairy industry anywhere. The only source I saw is peta.org, which isn’t helpful. The site says the same “facts”, but doesn’t give any sources.
Please give real evidence that the majority of dairy farms are like this and that the majority are factory farms.
Not really, no. Organic just means the drugs they put into the animals, but it means next to nothing in terms of animal welfare. The only way to make sure you’re not drinking cruelty is by trying delicious soy, rice, almond, or coconut milks instead!
Sorry about that! We appreciate your patience as we’ve had an influx of comments lately.
We have several videos from multiple investigations showing these abuses. Also videos froms groups like the Humane Society, Mercy for Animals, Compassion Over Killing, and more all have videos showing this same abuses. The majority of dairy farms are factory farms that don’t have time for animal welfare.
That website was put together and spearheaded by people and corporations who are threatened by the work we do for animals in large industries (meat, dairy, etc). We encourage you to do a search for “Center for Consumer Freedom”. 6-8 million animals enter US shelters each year, and half must be euthanized because there just aren’t homes for them. The animal overpopulation crisis is overwhelming, and we are working hard to help as many animals as we can. Let us know if you have more questions.
I’m vegan, but i stopped consuming milk for health reasons. I knew it wasn’t fair to take from another animal, and I’ve heard drinking milk is taking away from baby cows but i never really watched seen/heard it put this way. I cried in the first minute of the video and i wasn’t expecting to. This now just reaffirms my decision for not consuming milk for animal welfare reasons as well. Thank You.
But what’s with all these “PETA kills over 29000 dogs”? That doesn’t sound like animal protection. I heard that from over ten people. There’s also a website called petakillsanimals <---- so I think you guys are trying to keep the truth from everyone. YOU GUYS ARE ANIMAL KILLERS. You kill the healthy adoptable animals. Check the website and find out yourself.
Sad right?

They are flesh peddling scum. I have no sympathy for dairy farmers.

It’s not only legal, but it happens to millions of cows every year. It’s how they keep up milk production, by keeping cows pregnant.

Why is the man fisting the cows? that should be illegal.

I don’t drink milk anymore. So that’s what went wrong with dairy farms.

We answered this above, but know that “family owned” doesn’t mean rolling pastures. It just means the people in charge all spend Christmas together.

I’m so done with dairy stuff. If cows were people and people were cows I’m sure we’d like to be killed and eaten and abused. Notice the sarcasm
