why in the world do u have a baby turkey first off?
If its a wild turkey it probably won’t live, try some oatmeal, crumbled cornbread, cooked leftover vegetables, also they eat a little grasss but I’m not sure what kinds, they also like nuts.
if you visit that site you can do a search and find a sotre near you that carries it
now i need to ask.. you sure this baby was abandoned?
are there other wild turkeysd around? they usually dont leave thier young.
SInce you will not have feed today to feed it…
I suggest you allow it to have access to a pesticide free area in your yard …
Now…. for tonight … you can feed this baby cracked corn…
dotn have any?
You can get small bags of it in the pet section of about qny grocery store….. where the bird seed is and its only about 1.50 a bag for about 4 pounds… Kaytee makes most of it
make sure you offer clean water as well
keep it quiet.
Then I would suggest calling your local DNR or animal rescue centers near you to see if somebody who can raise and release it can give it a temp home?
YOu do not say where you live etc.. this is the best advice I can offer witht he info you provide.
IF you need more help or need help locating a rescue let me know…

I have wild turkeys at my house, I feed them bread broken into little bits, and they like it

Hi
Well the best thing to feed it is a goose , duck chow.
I prefer Purina’s brand called Layena

Start with bread soaked in milk.
If it has been away from it’s mamma for a long time, it will be hungry and very afraid.
If I remember correctly, turkey’s are omnivores… They eat bugs and grasses and seeds…
Bread… Chopped up fruit or veg… nuts… seeds… oats… Anything but meat that people eat…
When you have time, you can go to the petstore and get crickets and bird food.
The petstore should have anti-insect/parasite spray, vitamin suppliments for birds, crickets, and bird food pellets.
If you hand raise the turkey, they can make great pets. (As long as you are equiped to care for it.)
