Question by zion_zhar_shas: Does any one have a natural cure for vaginal dryness?
I recently had a complete hysterectomy, and I have noticed that over the past few months, I am becoming more and more dry in my vaginal area. It is to the point of being very uncomfortable. I don’t know if it is from the hormone pills, or something else. I have purchased over the counter lubricants, but they only help in the short term. I’d like a more natural remedy. Thanks

Vaginal dryness is usually caused by the lack of estrogen in the body. This is natural after a hyserectomy. If you smoke, you should stop because smoking destroys estrogen in the body. Eating foods that are rich in fatty acids can be a big help like sesame and sunflower seeds and just give yourself more time for foreplay. As women age, their response to sexual stimulus is slower. You don’t lose sexual response–it just occurs at a different pace. You can also try Vitamin E, taken as directed on the bottle, some of our patient’s say it works wonders.
