Question by : Does a dairy goat have to be registered to show in 4-H?
I am in 4-H and just started dairy goats. I plan on showing next year at the county fair. I would like to show LaManchas. How old should a doe be for show? How should she be clipped? Do they need papers? Any videos pics or tips will help. Thanks

  2. Usually they have to be somewhere from 4 months to a year. they sort the groups by age (i think)

  3. Papers aren’t necesary. Does can be on bottles, as long as they are trained to walk so they can be shown. Clipped evenly.

Ask your 4H leader for names of other, more experienced showers.
