Question by : Do you like my poem? What do you think it means?
Inspire a generation
Get them off their knees

Think of all the money
Trying to avoid the squeeze

If that could raise a surplus
And you could spend it as you please

What would you compete for,
When going like busy bees?

  1. You are talented, boy. Continue writing poems (even if this time scorns your ideas) and see always things like you do in this poem.
We’re all, all trapped in this world and, like Marcuse said (I think it belongs with him), we’re just busy bees, not ready to live our mortal life really and fully.
We can not live life for pleasure, but we must (society imposes so) live our brief life for getting money.
“What would you compete for?” What are we competing for when we find ourselves enslaved by money? Are we happy? Where’s Love? To work is the mean to live, and to live is to love!
So? What are we gonna do? It’s our the choice, wheter to follow the world, or, fighting it, to live and to fully fulfil the mean of life, which is Love.

Talented boy, continue this way, enjoy life. I don’t do it, I’m not able to fight, but I disapprove this society with all my heart.
