I grew up out in the country. We had all kinds of animals including chickens. Lots of them. This was the best playground ever for being a kid. I’m still that kid( just all grown up now) living out in the country with a yard full of chickens. I have an assortment of hens and roosters, one duck, a tom turkey and a hen turkey. They’re our pets. We have our favorite ones too that we named. People make fun of us because we like to sit and watch our feathered pets. I don’t care, they’re entertainment and fun to watch. We always have farm fresh eggs( I call them hen fruit) every morning.

I have chickens because mine are a rare breed and the guy that gave them o me when I was in 4th grade died. I kept them because their sooo funny sometimes, and my brother and his friends (my brother is 11) like to play with them because they don’t peck or anything. Anyone who comes to my house want to see them. They’re a great thing to have around.
