Familiar faces vie for table tennis glory
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District and URS Corporation have held ping pong leagues for several years and ultimately hold a championship tournament on the seventh-floor patio of their downtown Los Angeles office building.
This year’s Pingpong Extravaganza men’s championship was held July 26, featuring a chili dog lunch to raise funds for and promote membership in the District-sponsored Toastmasters club.
“Another great year,” said Ed Louie, member of Essayons Toastmasters Club 988 and One-Alarm Chili chef. “We had some scheduling issues, so only the men’s final was held today.”
In the men’s division, it was an all-District final as ACE-IT contractor Bee Cha won three sets to one against David Coltharp of the asset management division.
Corps vs. Corps lined up as the women took the table on July 31. Perennial finalist and 2006 champion Rosa Ramirez, programs and project management division lost a hard fought battle to Roxanne Vidaurre, engineering division.
This fun rivalry got its start when Ed Louie attended a Toastmasters meeting in URS’ conference room and noticed a ping pong table in the patio area. A URS Toastmasters member asked him if he would like a quick game after the meeting. After the match, the two decided it would be fun if the district and URS challenge each other to a friendly ping pong match. From that point in 2006 to present, it’s two wins for URS men and five wins for the Corps men. For the women, its four wins for URS and two wins for the Corps women. The Corps is looking for future men and women players to join.
“If this year is any indication, the men and women of the Los Angeles District and URS Corporation will continue this friendly challenge, and I may have to add another ‘alarm’ to my chili,” added Louie.

First let me appologise to anyone i offend but this is a very REAL question.
Men in my family have a track record/curse of getting trapped. What happens is guy meets girl. Girl wants guy. Girl gets prego. Guy is trapped. So here is the deal i come from a very “traditional” family. If you get a girl prego you have to man up marry the girl(if she will have you)and raise the kid. Every woman on my moms side has done this to land a man. In fact my aunt made a career out of it. She landed a doctor, dentist, and resturant owner. I was warned about this ever since the “Birds and Bees” speech. Warned so well that mentally i couldnt ejaculate durring intercourse.
So what happened to me when i got older i met a girl we dated for about a year she was on birth control yet i stil used protection. She hounded me for a few months till i finally gave in and stopped wrapping it. Her reasoning was she is on birth control and hates having to stop just to put one on. Plus we been dateing for so long. We both got blood tests so we knew we were clean so no danger factor.
She quits taking her birth control and gets prego. All my plans ruined all my goals gone. We been married 7 years and have 2 kids now but that resentment of having no choice in my future is always there.
Fortunatly it all worked out. We have a good marrage.
Look i know it takes 2 to make a kid but when i am blatently lied to and she had met my family so she knew i would have no choice in the matter.
Every man in my family has had this happen to them. My sister tried it without doing the research and ended up with 3 kids with 3 dads and no ring so obviously its not a perfect system. But if you do it right women get a quick check and the guy has to pay the girl cause he was lied to.
Do women get a class on this? How is this leagal?

No, they don’t. Your family, on the other hand, needs a sexual education class focusing heavily on how to put on and use a condom.

If a woman blatantly lies and intentionally gets pregnant, why would you stay with her? You have really backwards, traditional values if you think you have to stay with her just because she is pregnant.

Your wife didn’t force you to stop using condoms did she? She didn’t hold a gun to your head and demand that you not use a condom? She was just breathing down your neck and, while i’m sure it was annoying, you could’ve put your foot down and said “no”, knowing the risks.
So, ultimately, you DID have a choice for your future…you just made the wrong one. You chose to put your future on the line by listening to her and it bit you in the as*. She’s not FULLY at fault. Only partially.
But no, women who intentionally trap men don’t take classes. They’re just naturally manipulative. That being said, guys aren’t morons. Like you, they make a choice. They either choose to wear condoms or they don’t. They wouldn’t have been “trapped” if they had chose to wear condoms. It’s never just the fault of one or the other unless rape is involved.

Grls jus do this wen they think the guy is good she gets preggo to keep him! Unfortunately it doesn’t alwyas work as in ur sister’s case! Its not classes jus their way of thinking! Lol! HOWEVER, don’t be a fool, wrap your tool. ALWAYS protect yourself. The girls aren’t having sex with themselves. Any time you have sex, protected or not, there is a possibility of getting her pregnant. Don’t forget that.

women have a drive for a man and family. Men if you are not ready for it then DO NOT have sex until you are married.
resentment can drive you apart once the kids are grown. My family is one of those marriage families. I fought the system when I was younger sex and marriage to me did not have to go together.
Now I work with youth and divorcing families sadly for a man marriage actually protects his right to his children, and that is the only protection he gets. Women also get protection in raising their children above the poverty level having dad in the house.
Both of these serve to protect the children, first they have protection in the event of divorce the child has the right to a relationship with both parents, second a child deserves to be raise with the biggest opportunity possible financial stability offers more possiblitys.
Women should not want a man and his children unless he wants her the same. There is a huge trend in men getting vasectomies for their 21st b-day to ensure they do not get trapped and have kids with someone they may not be with.

LOL, there is no class, but I do have to agree I have seen a TON of women do this. A lot of my friends and even people close to me have gotten trapped. You have to realize that most women are brought up very different than men, they are raised without goals or dreams, we are not supported like men are to chase after what we want. We are only encouraged to have babies. And that is why this happens. Because this becomes the #1 goal in life.
You need to raise your daughters to have goals, dreams, and aspirations of their own. You need to raise them with high self- esteem. Or else they will have nothing to do and think nothing more of themselves, but to try to trap a man and become a baby making machine.
And you need to raise your sons to respect women, but to also find a woman who will support their dreams, has her own life goals and aspirations, and that match his.
Also, there are TONS of men who are like this and want to trap women into marriages and want to knock them up so they can be their little housewife. Because they know once they do this the girl wont want to be single and will marry them. Same thing happens both ways!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
