@Simple Simon. That reminds me of a jihadist in America who went to truck driving school, and he outed himself when he told his instructor “I don’t need to learn how to back up!”
But to answer the question about suicide hotlines, I doubt it. I’ve just seen too many examples of Islamic prime time television that show role model that its okay to suicide bomb. If they can easily broadcast on airwaves that its okay martyr then they don’t have to take over a suicide hot line. It’s inherent in their culture
as evidenced by mainstream media. That media wouldn’t even “fly” here in the West because we have different culture, for them in West they disenfranchised youth out of college campuses.
In Muslim dominated lands, they’re targeting young children in those prime time shows anyways using cartoons and cute little fuzzy characters like the Mickey Mouse look-a-like and other characters. Hamas did the Mickey Mouse and other fuzzy characters named Nahoul the Bee and Assud the bunny rabbit. Iran did cartoon where it ended “happily” with kid plunging into pack of Israelis. And I’ve seen it out of Egypt where man was talking to a group of young kids about how glorious martyrdom was in Mohammed’s days. I know of broadcasts in these three places but in other places martyrdom is spoken of openly, it’s in their mainstream media, in the culture. I’ve also seen Imman that preach in their mosques this “martyrdom” mentality.
Young children don’t have enough knowledge to be able to combat this and call suicide hot line in the first place. And religious zealots think they’re doing what’s expected of them anyways I doubt they’d use a hotline. So for so many people being taught this, jihadists don’t need to take over a suicide hotline, as there are plenty of other places for which they are already recruiting. It’s widely discussed in their mainstream media. Here are some examples:
Their “educated” radical friends have requested a nuclear suicide bomber. Please note that Al Jazeera TV is based out of Qatar, but plays all over the Arab world.
“Jordanian University Lecturer Ibrahim ‘Alloush Suggests Sending Suicide-Bombers Armed with “Small Nuclear Bombs” to Israel
Al-Jazeera TV (Qatar) – May 13, 2008″
Jabril applauds suicide bombers in children and berates Abbas’ peacemaking efforts with Khaled Meshal (Hamas) sitting front row dead center:
“I ask you: This [Palestinian] people, which has made all these sacrifices… The [Palestinian] mother is unparalleled throughout history. She grabs her son and says to him: Off you go, on a martyrdom operation. When the second son comes, she says: Off you go, too, and then the third son, and the fourth. A [Palestinian] girl, in the prime of life, thinking of getting married, dons an explosive belt and plunges into the Israelis. This people, from the children to the elderly…”
Ahmad Jibril, Secretary-General of the PFLP – General Command, which aired on Al-Jazeera TV on May 9, 2008.
And here is the Hamas series, out of Gaza, available on youtube:
Farfour the “Hamas Mickey Mouse”
Nahoul the Bee which replaced Farfour:
Assud the Bunny which replaced Nahoul:
Some other miscellaneous quotes showing inherent in culture:
We desire death like you desire life!
death for the sake of Allah is our most lofty goal.
Every mother should raise her son, and nurse him – together with her milk – with the love of jihad for the sake of Allah, with the love of Paradise.
Hatred of the Jews is in our genes and blood, we’ve suckled it from the milk of our mothers (syrian actress)
“Do you want to enter Paradise? Of course you do. We all do. You will never enter Paradise until you die. Do you love the Prophet Muhammad? You love him very much. Me too. You will never get to see him or embrace him until you die.
True, a righteous woman is a good thing, but the martyr gets something even more valuable – a black-eyed virgin.
“What kind of honor, glory, and status can a mother wish for her son which is better than Paradise? Is there anything better than this? Is there anything better than Paradise? Is there anything better than martyrdom for the sake of Allah?
“With Every Drop of Blood That Drains From Your Body for the Sake of Islam… You Get Blessings – The First of Which is That You Don’t Owe Anything Anymore – All Your Debts and Bills Are Covered”
Iran, during the Iran-Iraq war, sent 10,000 Persian children into minefields with “plastic keys to paradise” so they could clear it for the adult soldiers to pass. It was even shocking to the Iraqi soldiers, that tried to tell the kids no and turn back, but the kids marched forward like lemmings with a death wish.
wow i never thought of that…
please dont give them any ideas!
