Glad to see someone else that was able to set up a vertical grow using the same idea that have. I thought about this but Using a wye that had a 2″ side going into a 3″ collector but never got around to building it. I am concerned with root mas building up in the collector pipe. Does your system get any clog or back up before the water reaches the bottom plant or are each individual plant being drip fed at the plant top?
