14 Responses to DIY treadmill motor wind generator
I have a treadmill motor a 2.5hp it spins at 6500 rpm on a slow day and it
generates 1kw a day of free electric so the wind is very powerfull even at
5 nots
I have a question. Can I use the 24 volt electric motor from an electric
scooter to make a windmill. If I spin the electric scooter motor will it
put out power ?. The scooter I have is powered by two 12 volt batteries
which gives 24 volts to the motor. Kevin

that’ll work just fine when the wind blows.Get a charge controller though
and run wind mill power through it before it goes to battery bank.

How much wind does this generate? Is it by volume or wind speed? Can it at
least create 40mph winds?

you can also mount a small wind mill over an out door a/c unit.when it runs
it will power your battery bank .that’s what I do and it works great.

Did you really use signs from the roadway? And I would hope that’s not a
“In memory” sign….because that’s what it looks like
