Cows out to grass :) Springtime on Ayrshire dairy farm
Cows went out to graze grass this year on 5th May- 2 weeks later than last year. It’s been a very wet sunless winter. It’s great to see the sun again – Hopefully it will be a long hot dry summer.

This is great, i love the cows that stand staring at the camera wondering what your up to, very refreshing to see this, beautiful, happy healthy cows, the way these animals should be treated! Well done

Don`t complaint about wet weather. Here, in argentina, we are having the driest season of the last 40 years. Most dairy farmers have no grass, no silage left and only 1/4 of the maize silage that was in the budget for next season. It will a hard year the one ahead for us. Cheers

this has got to be the nicest pasture i ve seen in a long time … where i am from … there are no real pastures ! cause of no rain falls … i ve tested an artificial pasture (irrigated)… but man !!! WEEDDSSS everywhere … got screwed … guess this year my cows will get some more oat / barley silage … : ( how in the hell did you get that so nice pasture ? good job

It’s going to be tight Hoping for a early spring 🙂 I have purchased straw , tatties and carrots to make it last a bit longer. Silage is very expensive this year in this area Seems a lot of farmers are going to run out before spring
