Question by Filida: Could you eat a Thanksgiving turkey if you knew its name?
Say you bought a turkey from a small market instead of a huge grocery store and the the person said, “I raised him myself. His name was Greg.”

Would you be as comfortable eating Greg as some nameless bird?

Haha,yes. I spose that comes from growing up on a ranch,and slaughtering chickens.ha,but i could.

my bird was named Fred and we did everything together. laughing, running around, bar-hopping, road trips. but at the end of the day I got hungry and ate him. sorry Fred.

well .. umm .. sure .. why not! If Greg’s “parents” dont mind selling him, and Greg himself doesnt mind being feed to you, then why not? lolz.

Damn interesting question. Ya know, I don’t think I could! Now if the turkey’s name were something really cute, like Freddy or George, then The Nolte would be having pizza for Thanksgiving dinner.

Yes I would love to eat Greg, now if I had to kill him in front of his wife and kids…I would think twice about it then maybe kill the whole family.
I have morals ya know.
