Question by : could i use bream for aquaponics?
or what other fish could i use with not much difficulty and it would survive the southern western Australia

  1. if you have a steadily flowing water body with submerged structures bream would be fine to breed in it. but make sure you first stock the water with yabbies, bluebait, possibly prawns. Other aquatic life bream feed on, check their natural diet online. black bream would be ideal in south west WA. my profile allows email so let me know how it goes. i’m a bream fisho (catch and release) in the swan and canning rivers, i’ll come down and have a go! i’lll even bring beer haha. If you let me know more about what kind of conditions you have (stream/lake/river/dam. the soil type, water type (fresh/salt/briny) and current aquatic vegetation, i can get info off my cousin who has a degree in aquaculture and is also a bream fisho.
