  1. Blown away by this man’s enthusiasm and what he has done and is doing with his farm, but just as blown away by some of the ignorance he displays. 95% of the mass of hay is NOT sunlight. Yes only 5% may come from the soil, but the rest of the mass is made up of water and CO2, converted by photosynthesis (with the aid of sunlight energy) into organic compounds like carbohydrates, not ‘sunlight’.
