Sure I raise a lot of different varieties of birds in the same pen

You can and a lot of people do. Works a bit different running chickens and guineas together…. sometimes the whole flock of guineas will chase a rooster and try to kill him.
Never understood why that happens, but guineas are tough, cunning, and can be mean as a rattler when the mood strikes them.
